We are happy to inform you that the 58th Annual Convention of Chemists (ACC), the yearly event of the Indian Chemical Society (ICS) on a theme entitled “Recent Trends in Chemical Sciences 2021 (RTCS 2021)” will be held during 21st-24th Dec., 2021. There will be symposiums from each sub-discipline of Chemical Sciences in different academic Institutions in the Country. It is a great pleasure to inform you that the Organic and Biochemistry Section will be held at jointly by the Dept. of Chemistry, IIT Kharagpur and the Dept. of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata on 22nd-24th Dec. In view of the present COVID scenario, it is decided the meeting will be held online.

Short Lectures
About
In order to encourage young chemists of the Country, there will be a number of short lectures (approx. 20) in the form of flash presentations (7 + 3 minutes) in the evening of 22nd and 23rd Dec. These lectures will be selected, by a selection committee Chaired by the Scientist-in-Charge, from the submitted abstracts from the registration portal. It is worthwhile to mention that five awards for young scientists (Ph.D. Scholars, Research Associates, Postdocs, Young Faculty Colleagues) of below 32 age (as on 31st Dec., 2021) will be given from these presenters, namely, (i) B. N. Mankad Award, (ii) J. M. Dasgupta Award, (iii) D. S. Bhakuni Award, (iv) P. Sengupta Memorial Award, (v) S. K. Talapatra Award.
